    Corporate don’t care about you

I’m only a giving a 2 weeks notice ONLY if it’s in my best interest

If it’s not then f*** em

Wouldn’t suggest it if you plan on staying in that same industry. Especially if you’re staying the same area.

If you just dippin out of that world completely, then f*** it. Do whatever you want. F*** the corporate world.

Bold to be doing this in a management position, I've burnt bridges before but even then I was smart enough to have a good relationship with HR and get me references and a job the next day.

    Good for her

Probably a toxic work environment we don’t own these companies anything but this s*** in our anus

Why is it considered s***ty to do what you want with your life? You think they’ll give you a heads up when they’re about to fire you?

Most jobs like that give severance, nothing is wrong with going to another company but professional courtesy is always a good thing. This could effect a lot of the business and other people's jobs too.

if u gonna do that you better be in a position where you can cut ties with the company entirely, possibly the whole industry if its tightly connected. you would also prolly not be able to put the job on your resume either, and just pretend it never happened

95% of the time it's a terrible idea.

there's a few circumstances where it might be a more palatable option though. if the company is about to go under, then you can probably get away with it (assuming you already have references in your industry). also sometimes you'll get fired on the spot if you put in your notice, usually you can see that coming though. regardless, choosing to do it is always a gamble that i don't recommend.

Always always give a two weeks notice. Even you wanna f*** your employer over don’t f*** your coworkers over. You never know when you’ll run into somebody who will help you out in the future

    F*** them up

Your first point isnt a good one because you can easily mess up a co-workers life who now has to finish a project or work even more hours on their own be because of your lack of decency

But that second point is it being let go without any notice or time period shouldnt be normal at all for employers to do

Last job I worked there was a toxic fume in the office and they wouldn't let me work from home. I went home and they tried to make me come back. I still use it on my resume....different state though 🤷‍♂️.

  • Buncha scary ass niggas in here lol
Obviously tho don't jump ship if you aint somethin else already lined up

  • Corporations can suck my balls

  • Only way I would give a 2 week notice for a corporate job, is if I came into enough money, that I'd never have to work again. Outside of that, always give the notice.

    A Mad Ass Nigga

I agree with both sides of the argument but I’m leaning more towards this tbh. Jobs don’t give 2 f***s about you. This girl I know got fired because she was calling off too much after her mom died of cancer like wtf

Insert random story with no context. If you have a degree that holds more weight than your actual skill and talent than you will have to be on top of every nuance in the professional world. If your skill is high in demand and speaks for itself these things matter less. The field you are in matters greatly ofcourse.

“Always leave on good terms” sounds like the plantation up on here. :/
