Maybe I am showing my age, but...

Growing up in Atlanta we never heard about these growing up.
UNTIL Childish Gambino's show came around now everybody says they love them, theyre popular and so on. Am I the only one? Now i see them at wingstop.

Bro I went to Atlanta for Donda and I wanted to go to an “authentic” wing spot like everyone talks about

Some sneaker YouTuber I like mentioned “Atlanta best wings” I believe in a video so I went there

It was a 20 min Uber from my hotel lol and it was on the side of a gas station…deep in the hood..It was scary af I definitely stood out

While I was waiting outside for my Uber to pick me up some guy pulled out a gun on his girl I just wanted to get tf outta there

Some little ass kids came up to me and asked me to buy them cigarettes lmao and I did it just to have someone on my side

Wings weren’t even worth it and the fries were trash

Even though this scene caused J.R. Cricket’s to blow up, the irony is that this was not one of their menu items at the time, based instead on a menu item from the American Deli chain. As Stephen Glover, Donald’s brother and co-writer told the AJC, “We just thought it would be funny to see somebody get hooked up at J.R. Crickets by getting that option that isn’t even really available.” After the scene, however, owner Paul Juliano decided to add them to the menu full time under the Lemon Pepper Wet moniker.

Also if you're not from Georgia, not even gonna say Atlanta cause mfs that stay in the city are all transplants at this point and they don't know s***.
Don't let anyone sell you the dream of Atlanta having these legendary hole in the wall wing spots. These places are normally 10pc/fried rice type places, there's a lot of them varying in quality. But chances are if you're trying to get good wings out here it's going to be from a bar.

Edit: and pretty much all the local people here enjoy the chains so don't believe that slander either Wingstop, ABW(Atlanta's best wings), American deli fell off, Touchdown wings starting to get popping.

Never had them wet, didn’t know they weren’t exclusively a dry rub until last year
