This is the damn truth.

Futurama is cool but it's never been as funny or groundbreaking as peak Simpsons. The Simpsons flipped the game on its head and made me want to make my own show.

No hate on Futurama but it's not up there with seasons 3-8 of the Simpsons. I'd put those up against any show, any genre.

Seasons 2-10, I believe, but some people cut it off at 9 on account of an episode where they retcon Principal Skinner’s whole backstory, as they feel like in doing that the writer’s altered a really important part of the series for a goof and that that’s where it started to go downhill.

a 100 times agree, although the Simpson's movie is classic & the shows legacy is cemented. I still rather watch futurama any day of the week

Simpsons got higher peaks but Futurama was waaay more consistent. I dont think I've ever seen a bad episode of Futurama but I've seen Simpson's drop some real dookie ass eps

but I also ain't grow up with Simpsons like that so can't speak on it. I always identified more with South Park than Simpsons.
