post Yeezus = distorted futuristic post trap/hip hop sound (which he’s great at); the random sample cuts in the middle of a song that are ironic references to what woulda been classic Ye chipmunk soul beats (On Sight random sample); the mumbling in final verses

MBDTF formula = assembling an all star cast of whoever’s hot at the time with multiple people on one track at times

you put those two together and you get Pablo and Donda so far + all the other unreleased albums

It’s cool but he used to be the type of artist where every album had a distinct sound and aesthetic to go with it

We can't really make any judgement on an unfinished unreleased album

Also it's valid to have issues with Jesus is king but all the lyrics are completed and no mumbles

That only happened with Ye because he scrapped and redid it so close to deadline

I’ll be honest with you I haven’t listened to most of DONDA yet only a few tracks so I could be all the way off , but it doesn’t feel like Yeezus that much to me at all . Everything sounds lush and organic even the dark tracks . I think people are overlooking the tinge of LR this album has if anything

Also Pablo sounds like an amalgam of Kanye’s whole catalogue not just yeezus and fantasy

Yeezus had no mumble raps at all from what I recall

Jesus is King has it’s own wave too

I think what you’re saying does mostly apply to Ye but everything else kind of has its own wave

    Donda not touching 808s

And 808s and Heartbreak is like the original Donda

Most of the album is Ye getting overshadowed by features that go on too long

Who asked for a Lil Yachty feature in 2021

Ye gotta cut bout half them features and add more verses

Just relistened to 808s and you got Ye and instrumentals basically doing all the work

The problem with donda is it's not out yet. The features are amazing, they sound great when their own s*** sucks.

I've only listened to LP1 and LP2 once each, but I found that he has a very precise aesthetic to the sound here. Like a metallic spiritualism. It's definitely distinct, imo.
