Honestly, artists like him are rare, not many make it out from a place like that and fewer are able to tell their story, achieve superstar success and never sacrifice their artistry in the way.

GKMC and TPAB are almost flawless masterpieces. Writing about himself with the realisation that millions across go through the same situations he did growing up, yet very few actually do make it out. Sing About Me is one of the best songs of all time.

I'm not a huge Kendrick stan but i havent listened to GKMC or tpab in a while and that's what made me write this thread. Listening to TPAB makes me wonder how the f*** was he able to put in so many layers in an album like this.

DAMN was great but i dont think it was as good as TPAB, whatever it is im sure we're all looking forward to whatever he does next

This forum can be pretty negative at times, i just wanted to say something positive. I think his success is definitely something to celebrate.

Having someone blow up to his level off pure skill, honesty & talent is rare during these times for sure

I think about this a lot actually. From the moment Section 80 came out, it just felt like he was outta here!

The greatest thing about all of this is how we all collectively realized the timelessness of his sound from the get go... Very very few artists can make works of art as dense and meaningful as he did... If I were a betting man I'd say he will be regarded in the same tier as Biggie and Tupac in the future. As a sidenote all the disrespect for Kendrick's music that I see on here is mad corny and pure contrarianism...

    And the rise of Tyler.
