He makes disposable music
He’s always made disposable music
I’m not saying that to justify mediocre music but it’s wild to me how you guys treat these dudes as if they went from making phenomenal work to suddenly absolute dog s*** some how. Here’s the actual truth about Uzi. He was never THAT good. He has great joints here and there but in terms of being an artist, his aesthetic is way more innovative and interesting than most his music ever was besides a few songs here and there and I swear it’s fooled most of you into thinking he’s a better artist than he actually is.
He still has good projects like his debut which was actually refreshing and new but you’re right his image and aesthetic played a big part in his success and unfortunately with his recent outputs it exposed how heavily he relied on the aesthetic
everything he dropped so far was hard
thinking for yourself and not going with the hypebeast opinion
sasuke trash and I agree that Uzi different now since Eternal Atake is rappity rap Uzi but then LUV v TW2 effectively cancels out anything u talm bout
Doesn’t cancel it out just because most of VTW2 was old
Definitely don’t agree with OP but I’ll say based on EA Uzi has gotten better as a rapper but his melodies have fell off a little. I’m losing faith in him to make Finessin Hearts/ Nuyork Nights type hits
Sasuke is fire as f*** tho better than anything on the album
It's literally the 2020 early 20s rager

Didn't know making fire music is an aesthetic
production and vocal choice are major things
a biiiiig part of why people loved him was how he always played with both melodies and rapping and also played with his upper and lower registers but now he’s just rapping in a higher register
also his production is lacking a lot of it sounds smart and plays too hard on the upper end and lacks the bassy hits that really complimented uzi’s melodies because it was almost like those melodies were part of the beat
overall his role as a vocalist was very unique in that his performances melted in with the beat but now he works over the beat instead of within it
you can still see old tendencies in tracks like Lo Mein, Chrim Hearts, and Secure The Bag and it supports this kinda hypothesis

i agree OP
but u cant say ur coming from an 'objective lens' and then just trash others' opinions
It wasn’t that bad but I do think he might have fell into the Lil Yachty trap of trying to rap too much to appease Ebro
As an Uzi fan you're not that far off as most would think
But we'll see how this holds up after a couple more projects
Eternal atake is my favorite release of his lmao. The ridiculous attachment to the old music is honestly just nostalgia
My first time listening to EA in class that morning was unforgettable, hearing Baby Pluto for the first time was an experience I’ll treasure for the rest of my life
Uzi has gone 34/35 this year and y'all still disrespecting him
