I'm sorry, it doesn't make any sense to me. The author of the article even says "As a Gay man" multiple times. So is he insulting himself?

The word gay is used by people who are gay and aren't gay regularly and you are literally the first person I've ever heard say that it is offensive in this particular context (of referring to someone by their sexual orientation) I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or not but I'm going to tap out of this conversation because it's making my head hurt.

For example, I have a gay friend Luigi. Do you want me to instead say "my homosexual friend Luigi"??
