I don't disagree with you on a more clear cut objective basis but like, you would understand that it's not that straightforward on a social/conversational basis right? Like things aren't as clear cut where actions/behaviors can be neatly compartmentalized into categories like "problematic issue" -> "education" -> "response to education" -> "mutul solution/acknowledgement".
If things were simply categorical then I'd 100% agree, but I simply don't think people work as mechanically as that on a social/behavioral level. Like if someone calls you an actual slur or is purposefully misgendering you or something and then like correct them and they do it anyway, 100%, okay. That's very objective and clear without nuance or grey area.
But when it's something like discussing something not as clear-cut as that (or even targeted toward anyone), I dunno if I agree. Like I understand your original point for sure, I don't even disagree with you in that sense. But it took quite awhile to get to that point because I didn't get what you meant at first. So it's not like it was transphobic of me to ask or talk about it because I just didn't get what was being said?
