in a perfect world where nobody is transphobic, then yes this wouldn't be considered outing in the traditional sense (only if you want to keep your romantic life entirely private)

but we dont live in that world
somebody could be afraid of being "outed" as being with a trans person because they are transphobic and they only saw them as a fetish

they could also be afraid because of the potential stress/backlash/etc from their peers even though they've accepted themselves and their partner.

maybe they just didn't want their business aired out

idk anything about this lil housephone dude, maybe he is just a chaser, which is absolutely detestable and trans people don't deserve to be reduced to a fetish you hide away.

either way, just calling people transphobic and homophobic and shouting "trans women are women!" doesn't do anything to unravel perceptions of "outing", sexuality, and gender. start the dialogue you want to start

Alright so let’s discuss it then:

This entire situation right is to ridicule Housephone for having s***with a trans woman. Since I gotta break it down for you;
1: IF housephone identifies as straight, having s***with a woman doesn’t change that.
It is transphobic to say he is not straight because he had s***with a woman who is trans.

2: it’s also transphobic and homophobic to ridicule this man in general for his sexual relations, as it’s none of our business; the basis was for him to be ashamed of himself or embarrassed for having any association with either community

All of this was done to humiliate him and if you have any other questions comments or concerns I’m more than happy to engage in dialogue with you.

Thinking otherwise is transphobic and just as ugly.

as I said already- this entire dialogue on this podcast was for him to feel ashamed of himself and also be publically humiliated. So…. Again if he is experiencing his own self hate it’s still rooted in homophobia and transphobia???

you need to build the steps to get there. WHY are trans women, women? WHY was outing homophobic to begin with, WHY is it transphobic when it occurs with a trans man or woman?

If someone is not well off and they live with their crazy religious fundamentalist family, but are dating a trans person in secret, it's transphobic to not want their family to know because they're scared of the consequences??
