It literally isnt lol because you guys keep twisting my words n looking for something potentially controversial of what im saying to go in

Yall are literally acting like thug never had a problem lol and as if niggas were never put off by it

    This s*** is literally false

So what nas x isnt accepted in hiphop outside of his personal feelings? Hes a bigger artist than Thug has ever been & he barely ever raps.

Thug wore dresses but had gang ties, rapped about having s***with women, and was accepted enough to be doing collabs with established street rappers. Most of Thugs critics were actually old heads man let’s be real.

After Barter 6 in 2015 dropped the controversy largely died down for the most part.

Are you willing to agree with that?

which makes him more real, he had more to "lose" out of it and wasnt using it as a marketing scheme.

lnx got at least a boost because of his coming out because the LGBT community supports their own even if they dont really consume the product

“Also came out after he got big already (songwriting, thinkin bout u, and novacane)”

Frank had absolutely nothing to lose.

I wouldn't say nothing but he was definitely already established and no part of his career was relying on the idea that any of his songs or discography were about women only. Like Pyramids of course about a woman but its not like if the Weeknd came out

his main features are rap artists... which LNX claims wont work with him because of his sexuality.

but he respected in Hip Hop I guess not that he particularly cares. Lil Nas X kind of doing this to continue publicity train. Similiar to what made chance so hated on his come up. Creating or stirring up topics to keep you in the public eye so that every 1-2 months its something being discussed or your name trending

Disagree. Thug was not played on the west & thug was clowned to infinity by high schoolers n college. This is f***ing 2012 to 2015 lol.

The gang s*** mixed with the gay s*** confised niggas even more lmao & made some people mad he was mocking the s***. That type of style was not around and thug is literally propped up as a trend setter n progenitor of that s*** that is NOW common place such as Uzi, SaintJhn, Trippie etc.

We gonna pretend that kanye was s***ted on for the kilt s*** either?

If yall never experienced a nigga hating kn or clowning thug n not rocking with him due to his "antics" then yall live in the most progressive plave on earth lmao.

Rappers have been clowned n hurt for their "antics" long before Nas X arrived. Regardless if they still poppin or not, which Nas X IS POPPIN.

2015/2016 yes tho i do agree he (thug) was more generally accepted & known more mainstream wise outside of a song or two.

maybe if he spent as much time on his craft as he does on his public persona and antics he wouldnt be makin excuses to "explain" why he isnt respected. let the art talk.

frank ocean is mysterious and isnt openly being gay like that in the public

So not overly flaunting your sexuality is being mysterious and not open

    Everyone knows he is gay

Lil Nas X’s whole openness is gimmicky and just wants to bait homophobes which is fair but it’s not exactly better

what do you mean by "too black"?. i dont like it when people mess with others people personal space... doesnt have anything to do with religion, color or sexual identity.

you wanna talk with your buddy on the bus?, go ahead but we dont have to hear it all the way to the back. wanna listen to music?, sure, use headphones tho. wanna crack jokes?, ill do it too so the rule is no crying.

idk what "too black" rlly means bc its not words id ever use, I don't think thats even possible, just bc of how those words work. I also don't think anybody could ever be too gay.

but plenty of racist people often say someone is being too black if they are maybe speaking ebonics around them or (was gonna think of something else but I can't im not good at impersonating racists)

but yeah, to these people, they feel like being black is cool at a distance, but a black person in their personal space is risking it, and if being black is too big a part of their identity, they are being too black and should tone it down, or be more quiet, or whatever.

The important takeaway is that these guys are wrong. no it isn't the black person being "too loudly black", its the fact that the racist is uncomfortable with blackness that needs to be addressed

and honestly that goes for gay ppl too. if u find urself feeling like someone is too gay, or too loudly gay, ask urself if u have ever felt like someone is too loudly straight. if u have, ask if u feel like that anywhere near as often with straight ppl as with gay ppl. if the answer to either of these is no, gay ppl might just make u uncomfortable. maybe the issue is with how u view gay ppl, not with the gay ppl themselves...

P.S. this isn't rlly addressed to u, I mean u seem like a fine guy I just wanted to type all this s*** out

By the time Ye wore the kilt that was WTT era and he had already dropped MBDTF and a slew of classics before that. Any backlash he faced was either from niggas from the previous generation or some s***. Most people just looked at it like “That’s Kanye he do weird s*** like that” niggas not gonna convince me Kanye was hated the year he performed Niggas In Paris like 40 times at one show

Thug not being played on the west doesn’t invalidate that he was played on the south or the east coast. And high schoolers and college kids are the reason Danny Glover and Stoner went viral. My younger brother and his friends are the reasons I even knew who Thug was lmao

The backlash towards LNX is more severe cuz you can’t play it off like “oh he just weird” or “that’s just the way it is” lol like LNX may be a troll and s*** but if he was doing all this stuff with females in his videos niggas like Boosie wouldn’t be having a heart attack every time he does some s***

But at the end of the day Lil Nas X knows from the satan shoes, blood, pregnancy he a troll

so I cant be like "you right troll they should embrace you more"

thats the price of trolling and the attention he gets is from the fans rather than other artist

he gets to be who he wants to be but it makes no sense to complain that people dont like you while strip dancing on the devil like a south park skit
