ngl I disagree w that last point

I don't think addressing smaller instances of homphobia ridicules larger instances of homophobia. I doubt u rlly think that either if u give it a second to marinate tbh.

"well no, we can't arrest that guy for stealing a bike bc thats ridiculing murder victims"

"well no, we shouldn't call out white guys using the n word bc thats ridiculing ppl who got lynched"

I mean really? u rlly think that make sense?

i mean: if youre gonna come with the "IM GAY AND IN YOUR FACE WITH IT, SUCK IT (HEHE) WORLD" then take it up when people respond with jokes back.

if you lowkey about it and someone starts using it against you then its wrong as hell.

what i meant with my last point is that boy crying wolf ends up with people not taking the real cry seriously

Thug was not that poppin in early to mid 2010s. He mainly attached to the internet n core of atlanta. His "antics" was def a bar for him n u crazy to say otherwise, even if he still had a core.

Most people in general didnt even know of him until the TI song n birdman link up. Not talking bout internet mixtape heads n atlanta home, but people in general.

Tekashi was poppin but still being ridiculed lol n hated, is Nas X not poppin still? Dont see what still being poppin has to do with it.

I live in NY and can confirm that Thugs songs were getting hella play out here lol his backlash isn’t as crazy as LNX’s is. Facts.

Tekashis antics were found entertaining by people and again, a lot of his fans and collaborators were cool with overlooking him pleading guilty to assault of a minor. Niggas did not straight up heel turn Tekashi until the snitching s***, trust me I lived here and can confirm that his s*** was getting play.

He was not hated like you think prior to that

  • Didn’t he cry cos old town road wasn’t accepted as country? Now he’s crying about not being accepted as hip hop?

You’re making money and winning awards just worry about that

It’s not even just Meek either they have this trend of thinking that cuz THEY don’t personally listen to an artist that they’re done or came and went

only thing we learned today is majority of ktt don't read articles and @Water_Giver was living under a rock between 2014 and 2017.

Never said it was as crazy bro, my point is that people have def been ridiculed n clowned outside their core audience, also NY is also not the whole country n he still has issues n push back. Which the other user was acting like it was completely good n looked over.

I never said these niggas ended up as nobodies. Some artists at the time have def called him out tho.

He is of course hated more now. Im not disputing that.

Bruh you wanna see the difference between Thug and LNX’s pushback?

Look at the fact that Boosie and T.I. made songs with one but condemn the other

so ur saying being gay quietly is cool, but being gay loudly deserves ridicule and disrespect?

    think abt that...

why would being gay quietly be ok, but being gay loudly wouldn't? Drake is almost violently straight, the "im lesbian too" s*** is like the most stereotypical straightest straight guy s*** I can imagine. obviously, being loudly straight is totally cool...

maybe, its because the way u understand gay acceptance is as tolerance, not understanding? don't wanna make any assertions here btw just sniffing s*** out. btw what I mean is maybe u see it as more of a "let them f*** however they want" instead of a "they are my equals and I see nothing wrong with d*** in the ass"

im sayin if you quiet and someone f***s with you, its wrong

if you loud then dont complain when people are loud back.

nothin to do with being gay. i could and would tell you some f***ed up histories but this is not the place to do it, ive stood up for my gay friends and always will, ive been oppressed and discriminated too so i dont f*** with it and thus i respect it... but respect also means "dont play with it"
