I was talkin more about his attitude and releasing music. The music is for sure not similar to 2016 anymore. I like when Uzi goes in over harder beats but all the slight melodic or poppier s*** he’s been doing is super derivative of his old s*** or uses the same flows over and over and over. Doesn’t help he is dead set on releasing on a Brandon Finessin beat more than any other producer (and he’s also very derivative). Unless Uzi goes back full melodic and switches the production up more it’s gonna get stale. I miss when Uzi would just make simple songs with lots of adlibs and reverb and a solid melody, he basically hasn’t made one of those songs that have released officially in years. He’s on a different wave now tho, I pray he figures out what sounds good rather than getting complacent and dropping whatever

the worst thing for uzi imo is the delusional ones who hype everything he puts out, bc s*** if the fans eat it up then why even bother trying to put out something better or raise the bar

his music right now isnt bad imo, it just doesn’t feel unique. pre-2018 uzi music stood out to me idk. I feel like it has so much to do with who he has around him production-wise as you previously said, mixed with him playing to his strengths and what makes him unique to begin with. Him Maaly and Don really had something special going on, mix that with Wondagurl and Metro and it’s like the perfect storm
