they’ll always say “Wayne is a better rapper, but Kanye is a better artist” when that doesn’t make any sort of sense
rapping is an art in itself, if Wayne is a great rapper that should factor into his evaluation of an artist overallyou can argue that Kanye can execute his albums better, got a better vision, aesthetics, whatever else, you don’t gotta resort to separating rapping/artistry

But I think when most people say that they’re not trying to say that rap isn’t an art, it’s just that “artist” is a broader term that encompasses putting together albums and stuff where rapping is more specific
People in that example are just saying Wayne spits better than Ye but Wayne can’t make songs or albums like Ye
The rapping factors in to being an artist but it’s not enough to make Wayne as good an artist as Ye tbh

There’s not any part of my being that believes Uzi got a schizo diagnosis he just wanted y’all to think he was Donny darko lol
What happened is, he blew up in 2016-17 because he figured out a perfect way to pander to that moment and the youth in that moment
He was already lowkey old at this point so when he became a hit with people years younger than him, it sent him into a crisis where he had to try to make himself younger than he actually was and overcompensate for feeling older than his fans (and peers)
And this led to many insane actions like claiming to be schizophrenic, changing pronouns to claim to be part of LGBT to connect with the youth, and constantly saying this stuff about bringing “old Uzi” back because he doesn’t know what his fans want because he’s old

But in Uzi's case it's 100% true, dude is deathly scared of growing up. I guarantee you he'll find another weird ass excuse in the next two years for how he's not actually 30 and "doesn't have an age" or some s***.
