still glad the actual cover is what made it only bc of how iconic and signature it could potentially become but these alts go CRAZY

I said it wasn't a wave because it's not. MGK is not throwing out random dance songs and j metal and Nakamura and hardcore and rap songs on one album. He did a branding operation pivot.

The special thing about this album is the dynamism. That's the whole point of it. Post Malone ain't putting this s*** out

Ehhhhhh I can see how you reached those conclusions and I respect you for having a real opinion but I pretty much disagree on all points

I don’t think he’s copying Carti at all this sound is a whole ass Rage genre now and he’s part of the group of artist that layed the groundwork for it so he’s just being true to it and trying to give us his take on where it is now, definitely takes notes from his contemporaries such as Carti but his aesthetic and his vocal style is completely different than what Carti was doing on WLR imo

Also I feel like a lot of this is just the natural progression of what he’s done on previous projects like LIR2 and EA, just with the execution cranked up to 11 (charisma & delivery, production, mixing, etc all better than they ever been)

As far as him not saying anything I feel like that argument is kinda weak since you could say that about anybody in this lane. This is energy music. He’s saying what he feels in the moment nothing really more to say.
