I don’t think wanting to hear a bit more evolution from Uzi is that bad of an expectation
Uzi dropped Luv Is Rage in 2015 and when comparing it to the Pink Tape Uzi still has a lot of talent and flows and rhyme schemes but it’s like they’re comfortable existing in a small space
maybe i just want Uzi to be someone that they are not
I personally feel like this IS uzi evolving and taking it to a whole different level. He stepped up the production, added more layers to the music and tried out different things from what he usually does. I'm very content and happy with what we got
I was one of the people who hyped tf out of EA every day, and as much as i enjoyed that as well. It was just so safe
man idk what yall arent hearing on here lol.
S*** is pretty great all the way thru with a couple eh tracks that tbh have turned around for me. Could deff be shorter but i just been throwing this s*** on shuffle and finding something new to love w each track. Has grown over the last few days. Great vibes. Uzi tried some new stuff, some uzi sfuff youd expect. Production is great. Interesting melodies and flows. Some honest and open tracks.
my feelings exactly on this.
plus the way it was marketed, titled and made i feel like makes it okay for it being so long and with no consistent sound
its a TAPE full of old ass songs for you grailheads
full of dope regular Uzi
full of experimental sound blending uzi
has pop records akin to Neon Guts like Endless Fashion
has emotional uzi
has vulnerable uzi
idk I usually am the FIRST to hate on bloated tracklists and s*** but i swear to god since my first listen, I was feeling this
ofcourse apart from the too weird songs, but still
everyone has their own top5 from this project
s*** is dope man, this has been in rotation since Friday CONSISTENTLY
Great moments on the second half but he really didn’t miss with those first 10 tracks imo
can't even be bothered to listen to this for some reason, and i LOVED LUV vs the world 2.
any songs on the level of Bean, Yessirski or Money Spread ?

once the hype wears off the reactions will be more grounded
this is the first album uzi is really trailing the game instead of being a trailblazer.
this sounds like uzi playing catch up to cart, lone, ken and all them other rage artists the past few years since he been MIA.
like its not a bad album by any means but its not groundbreaking. either blatant carti biting, rehased 2016/2017 melodies
as expected some people are gonna eat up the 3 rock songs he did or whatever just to say he made EMO MUSIC.
idc uzi gave us hella classics already but his better days behind him

Don't even put "Lone, Ken, and then" in the same sentence as Carti lol
I am in tampa you can come see how serious I take it and catch these hands !!!
U picked the wrong day, I been stewin all day, I’m about to pop off on someone
Meet me off the Gandy causeway
I think it's so weird certain people are so convinced you can only like the album because it just dropped and that you'll do a 180 and hate the album after a few weeks
This is easily Uzi's most ambitious project and it really paid off because this has easily shot up his discog for me and is easy aoty so far for me
but the content is mostly the exact same s*** he’s been on since EA era
I wish he had the lyrical depth of someone who’s been in the game this long and rapping for about 10 years
Uzi just refuses to expand the type of perspective his music gives and that’s why his older fans have started to not connect to his music as much
He seems to be catering to his newer, younger, and more vocal fans more and more.
man rehab would’ve hit the spot perfectly for me if it dropped a few months ago, would’ve definitely shed a tear to that one
such a beautiful and moving song

That BabyMetal song was an amazing surprise. Best song on the album.
crazy that people really enjoy this track this much, but more power to you breh
to me it feels like a hodge podge of different ideas/sounds all welded together..
it is a cool experiment but best song on the whole tape?
Not a fan of all the interpolations and straight copies on this project
yea
i mean hearing uzi cover chop suey was fun for once but uzi’s so talented that they dont need to be releasing this really and instead rely on themselves and drop some of their own unique work, it just takes up place for some other potential great songs on the album
i dont mind endless fashion though honestly
