I’ll probably be revisiting those the most. Bells could be a grower. I like his voice and delivery for more of this than I expected, but the production and mixing continues to be a letdown. A common theme with these later Wayne albums is something improving and something declining and I’m tired of accepting the compromise, especially on a Carter album.
Even the songs that aint bad but just aight arent enough cause both he as the artist and me as the fan have been doing this for too long to praise mediocrity when theres so much quality in the collection. For me this applies to his past few projects in general. I’m tired of cherry picking for the playlist and I miss having a full, quality body of work from him. Its getting worrying that even the “gems” from this album dont shine like they used to.
I did my first listen and it wasn’t horrible. it’s honestly what I expect from wayne at this point and i’m not gonna go through the mental shambles to accept or not
he my goat so ima pull the songs I like from it just wish it was most of the album and not the other way around

Me personally take out Jelly Roll, skip Island Holiday and this is a great album. Best Wayne has sounded in a minute but he still struggles with beat selection

I heard this for IANAHBII, C4, C5, Funeral, Trust Fund, Tha Fix etc..
C6 has a direction and some dope songs it has a couple of really bad tracks but this is 2025 wayne
take what you like, delete what you don’t and save your “hot takes” for the next album, you gonna have the same reaction 100%
Or if an album is gonna get you that upset just don’t listen to it.
It’s like people want to listen/watch/do something they already think is gonna be bad and then scream from the rooftop that they told us so.
