Wayne's not in a musical prime but definitely in a new prime as a rapper. He sounds hungry again.

I'm a Wayne fan but this is very true.
He still shines in rapping and mixtapes but Wayne has serious quality control when it comes to his albums.
Lowkey, after Wayne dropped that "the Fix" BS, the hype for C6 fell off. He can rebound if he finds a great producer or have someone executive produce though.
I would say Metro but the Drake beef destroyed the chance of that happening. Wayne's loosies so far have bricked and the hype has to be restored for C6.

fI mean this is what RTK said it and it sums up your post perfectly. Mans just knocking songs out in the studio. I think that is one of the reasons why he sounds so much better on features.
"It’s just way different. Being in the studio with Wayne, we might just keep recording songs. But being in the studio with Ye, we’re perfecting beats and changing hooks. Working on the album with Tunechi, it was like we were just knocking songs out. Whereas with Ye, we just reworking songs, and if we got a perfect beat, we’ll hop on it. But it’s just two different processes."

Fix was a mixtape of throwaways anyway. Wayne has and still does make great songs to say he hasnt for 15 years is absurd.
