Who here uses goodreads? Quote me w your profile šŸ‘€

    Looking for some interesting reviews

I have a Goodreads account but I don't leave reviews (beyond a star rating). I just created an account to see for my year reading challenge. I'm on 13/15 with just over a month and a bit to go.

I started on 25, I think. Then changed it to 20. Then settled on 15...

I think I can push 20 next year.

In my defence, I read two books that are over 1000+ pages. Thatā€™s like five books counted as two.

I'm reading a 3in1 atm which is taking me time too

Next year I'll be easier on myself haha. What were those 2 books btw?

Finished Heavy Radicals. It's a really specific example with wider reaching implications of intelligence infiltrating leftist groups in the 60s/70s while the underlying circumstances that birthed those groups shifted dramatically. Aaron Leonard has a more recent book expanding on the topic. Might check it out down the road.

    Started these two:

    47/52 on the year.

My first book is coming out in December. Iā€™m wondering if Iā€™ll post it here or in creative showcase.

Iā€™m reading Colson Whiteheadā€™s new Nickel Boys book. Got it yesterday and hope to finish today or tomorrow. Itā€™s pretty good, maybe a little underwhelming tbh. Only really powering through for academic reasons

You read oryx and crake? Iā€™m not a huge Atwood fan but thatā€™s my favourite book of hers, written like 20 years ago but super relatable today very science fiction but deals with s*** like teens getting radicalized watching f***ed up s*** on the internet, watching too much p***, the divide in career opportunities from students studying stem versus the arts itā€™s super dope

  • Nov 19, 2019

I meant to quote your post about the Atwood book lol
