His core fanbase doesn't WANT change. They dont see anything unjust with the current situation. George Floyd to them was an isolated incident, instead of the straw that broke the camels back. Most of the time, they think "Well if that negro had only listened and followed what the officer was saying.. The real pushback from all of this has been all the people for change vs. the people who aren't, and that is Trumps fanbase. If Trump comes out and does anything to appeal to the protesters, his fanbase will see that and react negatively.
i get that..... but forgetting the change part, he can atleast say he will fight for justice for floyd etc.... they can word it in a sort of way im sure
atleast solve this particular incident and he'd get a lot of credit for that (even if deep down he doesnt really care)
its bad, but he could use this situation to win the next election easily.... but hes really f***ing it up
