Not gonna post the full thing but they literally just pulled up next to him like it was a drive by and weren’t even prosecuted. It’s insane to me people try to rationalize it.

cop was trying to arrest someone i believe, then got mowed down

im not for that, we can prove our injustices through sheer power, and our peaceful action. We can't do this to ourselves

I would understand a blackout if it just meant not promoting s*** they're selling for a day but just being quiet is pointless

especially with us literally saying silence = violence

You think 330 million Americans are against black people being killed? I’d take a guess and say 100million don’t care.

triple that number if it a real civil war

Also curious about y'all thoughts...do you think the protesters have more or less leverage than they would if corona didn't hit the country?

Imo the economic disruption aspect of the protests would've been felt more without COVID. But at the same time, mass protests and the bits of rioting, etc that are happening are like extra knife wounds to an economy already on the fritz.

Hard to say on the economic front, but I know for a fact that people would not be as engaged as they are now if 1) they had jobs and 2) hadn't been locked up in their homes for months. COVID widened the platform.

Personally I think Tamir Rice was the one that really opened my eyes. Cops just ran up on him.

What happened to Tamir made me cry.

Well passion can get reckless and passion can get knocked out of anyone. You can’t just knock a system out you can knock out all the individuals you want. If there’s a system, a plan that can get passed down and followed through no matter who’s in place there’s nothing that can be done about it unless you wipe all them niggas out or find a way to f*** up that system. That can be said for whatever side you’re on.

in that case it sounds like we need an alternative administration to contest the current one. that would take a LOT of time, planning, and leadership but it's not impossible. either way trump not being re-elected is absolutely essential for the right future.

that coon is an issue too.

    hes no different.

yet, ye has given quite alot to support grassroots black community initiatives.
    example:

who are you to judge when you clearly dont have all the facts?

    thats what he was saying.

i mean ideas change and flow, but a basic overview of his writings shows he wouldnt be on the frontlines of these protests lol

He had some great critiques and writings but it’s that dichotomy of him being a f***ed up person too

Pretty sure it was a little before colonialism’s heyday I think he went insane before that too
