Smh. These cops think they're God or something. If you can't tell the person you're detaining why they're being detained or arrested, why are you even doing what you're doing in the first place?

Because they made Cs in high school

really frustrating how people are ignoring these violations of constitutional rights. it's scary honestly, we're on a slippery slope to a dictatorship

I heard a take the other day that I have to agree with. liberals have cried wolf so much on trump that when the s*** really does hit the fan and the constitution is violated, we've become desensitized to the situation.

violation of habeas corpus should be condemned by all parties. when constitutional rights can be explicitly violated and it isn't front page news, we're in very dangerous territory

DC is literally under occupation by the US military

it's scary man. you're right that dictatorships and fascism don't happen overnight but rather it's a slow process of violations gone unchecked that eventually leads to a "how did we get here"

I'm not in the states now so can't speak too much to what the media is covering, but it seems to me, and somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, that it's basically 1. riots/looting 2. peaceful protests 3. police brutality. violation of the rights promised in the constitution needs to be a top story though because it sets a terrifying precedent

as much as we're trying to educate people on the plight of black people in the states and the level of police brutality that exists we NEED to also raise how scary it is that the state is violating the constitution, suppressing the first amendment, and ignoring habeas corpus. if not it gives politicians like trump free reign to so whatever the f*** they want. really scary

The media's focus on looting and property damage drowns out the protest's message on purpose. That's why you see people claim that the protest is just an excuse to wyle out in the streets because that's all that was plastered on the screen. They want the story to be "liberal chaos is burning down your city" instead of "people have been sick and tired of the violent police culture for decades"

    it's a sound cannon
it's not gonna pop your ear drums it just sounds like a loud police siren at close range, it's used alot to send audio (like disperse) so it's more clear over a larger distence
