I love OB4CL, but I feel like RZA's best work as a producer was on 36 Chambers and Liquid Swords, the latter of which is far less accessible than OB4CL

Wu, GZA, and Rae all dropped some of my favorite albums of all time though don't get it confused

Totally agree,Liquid Swords had a lot of experimental type beats on it from RZA. Wu-Tang as a whole has some of the best rappers oat and alot of the albums that Rap fans praise to the high heavens like Liquid Swords,Supreme Clientele and even OB4CL go over casual listeners head. Those dudes perfected the art form of rap,Ghostface on Ironman sounds like he’s rapping poetry at times, that’s a huge feat for a rapper imo.

Rocky, Raekwon, and Westside Gunn on like a Clams x Alc beat would be something else

I don’t agree but tbh I’m not even mad at this opinion

Crazy that since this project there had not really been a real cultural force in ny until pop smoke, so maybe 2 significant artists in like 15 years, 3 if you count the GS9 wave

ASAP Rocky and Pop Smoke are both legends who made major contributions to NY hip hop. Won't gas up Pop Smoke as his music is still very young and we need to see how it endures over time but they both genuinely were on some other s*** for the state.

Like saying an album with rapping like this

is better than an album with rapping like this

    is insanity to me

flows and instrumentals are slighly superior. overall, in terms of quality they on par to me

RZA obviously produced excellent beats for OB4CL but his watershed moments imo were 36 Chambers and Liquid Swords. I feel like OB4CL are just slightly beneath those as far as production is concerned
