movThis is cap because at least 2-3 songs were supposed for "ye" the album. Ye carried KSG with his performances on the project and his aura.
I love most of cudis stuff but he didnt feel strong/present on ksg compared to ppnds or even sb2h for instance. I didnt feel his mark/personality as much.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEENKSG was suppose to be a Cudi album produced by Kanye but Kanye hopped on
Wrong. It was always a collab album. If you read that Complex article, it says CyHi has pretty much confirmed the rumors that 'Ye and Cudi are working on a "top-secret project" When CyHi said “Kid Cudi’s album,” he clearly meant the above in italics.
It sucks because Cudi would’ve recorded his magnum opus but Kanye robbed him again.
Bro, the only reason we got MOTM-vintage Cudi was because of Kanye. PPDS was a return to form a little bit, but Cudi wasn’t rapping his 09-10 flows on PPDS at all. That didn’t come through until KSG, Ye really brought that back out of him again. Not to mention the classic MOTM era hooks we got.
Kanye only adds to this album. It’s thanks to him we got Cudi singing over God tier Jeff Bhasker production on FREEE & spooky samples like 4th Dimension.
Yeah, Cudi may have co production credit on Reborn & Cudi Montage, but those beats wouldn’t have turned out near as good without the guiding hand of Kanye. Give me one Cudi produced beat that is as layered as anything like Reborn or Cudi Montage. Idgaf if Kanye has no production credit on those, he was still “creative director” of all those 2018 albums.

Cudi was great on the album to be fair, but it was Ye who clearly had the voice and direction that made that album great.
Just look at what Cudi has released since that album and what he is about to release and you can see Ye pushed him and gave him the direction he needed to lock in and create some great art.
