Not rich. Been very poor my whole life. Most of my family is dead, was homeless for years. I just worked really hard to get to where I am. Just graduated and got a good job offer and want to treat myself once in my life now that money won’t have to be an issue anymore. Idk why everyone has to bash me. I’m just another account on here, flexin to other accounts that idk who’s behind them means nothing to me. I’m just looking for a discussion

2020 Corvette but as a manual transmission

I thought you where a true gear head, you're buying a car just solely on looks and how others perceive you.

That's not smart, buy what drives the best not what "looks" the best.

    I'd go for the bmw

Wouldn't go with any of the 3. Best mix of sport and luxury would put you in an M3/m340i/RS3.

i8: sure its exotic but not sporty.
Corvette: it's a corvette. C8 looks promising though.
    SL400/500: boring.

In that price range I'd try for a new M3/M4 (might have to wait longer for price to come down a bit) or an M340i. The s58 and b58 engines have big tuning potential if you want to go down that route. Both are fast af and have really nice interiors.

Otherwise go for the RS3. Also has a really nice interior and engine is a beast too. The 5cyl with the right exhaust can sound like an R8 or Huracan.

    100% agree

The 2020 Corvette is mid engined, so in theory it will drastically out handle the old Corvette.

Has a better engine, transmission, suspension, aerodynamics. Just a superior vehicle.

Also since you want to talk exhaust, the the it being mid engined it has the opportunity to have 180 degree headers, when done properly it will sound like a Ferrari V8

    What you mean

The production of new cars slowed down cause of COVID. So buying a new car is limited which leads to people bumping up used car prices since that’s all that’s available

My budget is less than $70k. Looking for something sporty x luxurious. So far debating between

    1. 2020 Corvette - only $60k brand new baseline featyures, dont really need anything extra on it

    2. BMW i8 - would have to get slightly used but its one of my fav cars ever, just looks insanely slick

    3. SL400/550 - depreciate like crazy, could get a slightly used for $42k

What else are some decent options?

Hate Porsches, GT-R's look basic af even tho performance is great, no Supra's

Ironically Porsches although expensive to maintain they have VERY reliable engines if you maintain them properly lol.

Don’t care about reliability. Gonna get rid of it long before the warranty expires. Porsches don’t look that great to me

If you’re a gear head it should be pretty hard to get bored of the car you pick lol. Depends how into cars you are.

If you’re a normie then just get a car that does double duty. You got sports cars, and you got luxury cars at your budget, so why not get a car that does both like the the AMG or M Series? They are as comfortable as an Sl500 and some of em are fast enough to keep up with a vette. Best of both worlds.

I never said nothing about importance and don’t see how that has anything to do w what I’m asking. I’m just asking for peoples advice on what’s out there. A lot of people know the market better than I do. I don’t understand what your point is.

I really like SL’s, mentioned that as an option earlier. M3s have the performance but honestly aren’t really a stand out car as far as looks. 6 series look a lot better to me
