Hearing the combat is floaty and a little clunky, pretty disappointed about that. I absolutely hated the clunkiness in the first game, was hoping they polished it up second time around

nah, this game is still gonna be mid af, there's just a decent marketing push behind it that has people convinced otherwise. lies of p was an anomaly

I really hope they did. I’m so tired of games that seem great being ruined with s*** launch performance, how hard is it to release a game in a f***ing playable state

I was interested in this at first but, I think these soulslike games are starting to play out a lil, at least to me

Might check this out this weekend hopefully the performance doesn’t suck as much as they’re saying

Just put an hour or two into the game and beat the first boss. The performance was mostly good during regular exploring and combat, some random stutters typically but stays at 60fps. The first boss did have some noticeable drops to around the 40s though. Its not perfect right now but also not unplayable

tldw: great art direction and graphical fidelity. technical issues. story is pretty much nonexistent. poor level design which results in constantly getting lost and not knowing the way forward. lamp gimmick is only used for extremely simple puzzle solving. annoying "create your own checkpoint" system. combat is "just okay". consumable items use a universal ammo system. lackluster sound design. animation and camera issues. boss design is hit and miss, most don't feel unique and they have very limited move sets.

Nioh has better combat than Souls

Game has been getting good feedback and reception from even independents and the hardcore souls community for a year now

Which the only games accepted so far by the community are Nioh, Mortal Shell, Remnant & Lies of P

This has high potential and is nothing like the og Lords

The hitboxes are so dumb on enemies, some attacks just instantly happen along with frame cancels from enemies & there is so much stupid little things to get hung up in or trapped on in the enviroment that you cant roll through or break

Good combat, chars and atmosphere but its bare basics is ass

Disappointing as hell
