Gabe Vincent is feeling better, and Redick said it seems like the oblique is more of a day-to-day thing. He didn’t practice and is questionable for tomorrow.
JJ Redick on the acquisition of Finney-Smith: “Dorian gives has another defender - he’s a guy who has guarded multiple positions throughout his career. He’s worked to become an elite catch-and-shoot player.”
Dorian Finney-Smith says he’s not too friendly on the court so today, talking to LeBron James, he did the thing he always wanted to do and hadn’t — asked him for some shoes.
“He said he got me. …I got the hard part of the way.”
Dorian Finney-Smith on always battling:
"(My) mentality," he said. "That's how my momma raised me and my brothers and sisters. It's who I am."
He's been guarding LeBron for 9 years, but today was the most he's ever talked to him.
Finney-Smith: "I'm excited (to play) meaningful basketball ... everybody wants to win here. We're trying to do major things here."
DFS on his versatility: "When they do want me to play small, they got that option. I can pick and pop, spread the floor so guys can get in that lane, pull the big out of the paint. That's what we did if teams put centers on me. We got a bunch of different options."
DFS asked if he's excited about the shot quality coming his way: "Ah man, I can't wait! (I can) get back to shooting corner 3's. Over the last 2 years I've been shooting more above-the-break 3's, but I know 'Bron, he sling that ball to the corner. I already played with Luka - probably the best two guys at finding guys in that corner."
DFS: "I'm just trying to help these guys any way I can. If it's with my energy, giving energy. Making shots. Whatever they need me to do, I'm going to do."
DFS added that he can be more aggressive defensively:
"For sure, when you got him behind you, you can take more risk, especially in passing lanes. You have one of the best shot blockers in the league, ever. It's going to be fun. He also can switch, too."
Shake Milton: "I'm super excited to be here. This is crazy feeling, honestly, being here."
Shake Milton on being a playmaker off the bench: "I definitely do - whether it's me being on the ball, attacking the paint, creating for myself or others, or whether it's me spotting up and shooting 3's. I'm going to do whatever the team needs me to do."
Shake Milton's scouting report on DFS: "First of all, he's just a tough, hard-nosed guy. A long defender, he can shoot the 3. He's a real glue guy. He's the type of guy you want to go to war with. I think that's going to translate right away."
Makes sense for him to slowly acclimate DFS to the starting lineup
Ideally Rui should come off the bench but feel like u cant demote him with how hes been playing
Imagine DFS and Vando on the wing together
Redick credited Lakers vice president of basketball operations and general manager Rob Pelinka for completing the trade in late December, with the Feb. 6 trade deadline still six weeks away.
"It's certainly a positive in my eyes to be able to integrate these guys for a longer stretch of time," Redick said. "We need these guys to be available now to play."

Random Thoughts:
-Can’t count on Vandy at this point.
I still think we need to go get another guard
Could’ve gotten Lonnie for damn near free
https://twitter.com/thedunkcentral/status/1873779432537940014Lonnie is better than Cam Reddish. Bring him back
