Didn't see this posted but the team already looking to extend Dennis. He turned down a 2 year, 33M extension but come mid-Feb he's eligible for around 4 years, 80M

Gasol played better I thought. He obviously not in his prime but understands the game. Used his big body for screens and boards... offense was flowing so good in this game

Gasol hasn't gotten the opportunity to make plays like in the preseason which is going to happen with two other ball dominant playmakers on the court. In the preseason game he was on the court with mostly bench players and he was the best option to run plays through

But the spacing he provides alone is insane. Looking at a wide open paint for Dennis, AD, and Bron is so nice and so different from last year.

He's a brick wall on screens and when he's set in the paint. But if he's guarding just a few feet outside the paint it's game over lol

One of the more impressive things last night was Dennis' defense on Luka who went 1-4 when defended by him. I personally did not expect him to be so good at staying in front of guys and getting around screens.

Guy also looks like he never gets tired while playing at high speeds on both ends of the floor

People not realizing gasol’s impact goes well beyond the box score

Could care less how many points he scores. As long as he sets good screens, spreads the floor, & moves the ball on offense I’m happy. Any defense he can still provide at this age is an added bonus.

If he’s just completely useless Montrezl can come and play 30 minutes so it’s all good
