What do y’all use to keep it healthy while it naps up?

Lots of info in here. Just start with a basic regimen. Shampoo, condition, then moisturize. If your hair is super dry purchase a deep conditioner and leave it on for 30min-1hr. If you're in desperate need of moisture I would stay away from deep conditioners that have protein or claim to prevent split ends and strengthen hair. Just focus on ones that moisturize. This is all general stuff. We may need more info like I know you're mixed but is your hair loose curly or kinky coily? Thick or thin?

get you a bonnet (it’s 2020 bro) or some head covering for when you sleep at night, you dry your hair rubbing it against the pillow at night.

    or cop some satin covers

It’s not like the nice puffy light skin curly hair. It’s thick and kinky with the ability to be picked out into a fro if I want but I don’t. Im half PR so it’s nappy as hell. Appreciate the link to that thread couldn’t find something like that

Edit: I would say it’s type 2 wavy according to that thread

I didn’t know that pillow thing that makes a lot of sense is a bonnet less harmful than a durag? I don’t like wearing my durag every night

for longer hair it’s better cause it’s looser, so it doesn’t compact your hair down. they got special durags that do the same thing but i’d just go with the bonnet or satin cases tbh
