the cinematography and last 15 minutes of camera work are crazy tho. i’m interested in watching the work of the two male leads. especially patrick’s actor because his little nuances in his role were great
agreed. These 2 things and the incredible OST were the highlights for me. The rest is mostly just fun enough Lifetime drama. (some scenes just stretch way too much for me because they're so predictable though - especially the whole scene near the end when Zendaya and Patrick f\*\*\* and everything leading up to that. Very predictable and honestly they just explained it incase the audience was too dumb to pick up on their dynamic
La Chimera out now. Haven't seen it yet. Supposed to be good
gonna watch it this week now
Zendaya did some intense acting with her eyes during that one scene where Patrick proposes she coach for him, could immediately feel that "are you f\*\*\*ing kidding me" type of anger boil underneath
Her eyes was intense when she sat on that bed...

the scene with Tashi and Art talking right before she leaves to f\*\*\* Pat in the scene you mentioned dragged on for me as well
in the beginning of this film i think Luca did a good job covering a lot of ground and setting up subtext / character dynamics in the first 20 mins with barely any dialogue so the choice of dragging stuff on in the end scenes was odd to me

That's kinda how it felt in a number of scenes in the 2nd half. Like the dynamics between these characters was completely shown to you in the first half without dialogue and it was done well but then it just felt like they had to spoonfeed it to us with more heavyhanded montages and dialogue.
Ending was absolute perfection though. The cinematography was top tier at that point also

hmm this is true ngl
Art’s tennis grunts had me dying
My whole theater was laughing whenever he did that “uuuuh”
Love Luca but this was just..
I’m not getting the hype over the score either, it was cool but the use of it in this film was a miss for me.
Also idk what some of yall acting confused about, these niggas are definitely gay/bi. They was making out and dude had female/males in his tinder searches

They’re not tapped into gay cinema like us brother
Damn this Art dude is a simp ass b**** smh ratting on ya mans
And Patrick didn't even give a f\*\*\*, that's how you know he's real

the scene with the churros was enough proof for me

Dirty Mack hall of famer
imo Tashi didn’t care who wins. She just wanted to see good tennis and live vicariously through them since she couldn’t play anymore. She’s been pitting them against each other since they were teens. I think she figured Patrick would tell Art what happened but didn’t care cause she knew it’d motivate Art since being humiliated seems to motivate him like we saw in the hotel scene right before
Pretty much this yea

I will say about the tinder search, it showed in the next scene he was only browsing cause he needed a place to crash for that night. That’s why I think he hesitated to swipe on the older dude, but he still swiped
