Lupe is goat rapper lyrically but there is a glaring hole in his resume and that's features.

He might be afraid to compete with top tier lyricist for multiple tracks.

I get that self indulgent lyricism can be annoying but we’re getting to a point where simply putting in effort is considered cringe

he usually likes putting his guys on instead of big names. im guessing now that he's independent, he probably doesnt want to pay for big features anymore. and when he was on atlantic, they chose his features for him (guy sebastian, etc)

hes had some big names though - snoop, jay, legend,ty$. 2 albums ago he had a song with both KRIT and Ross on it

I mean rap wise. If you look at these younger guys like Kendrick and Cole they go head to head with the goat rappers. Even more with guys like Freddie and benny.

I and I would think a collab album would eliminate the financial liability so I'm not sure why he chose not.to do it
