i mean like there’s countless artist combos with enough collabs to make collab albums, but sometimes they won’t wanna drop it bc the chemistry doesn’t sound right or they think they could do better or they have different plans for their next releases etc.

i wonder how this would’ve sounded though. i can’t hear them meshing well together for an entire album tbh

lupe's been working on samurai for over a year, and skulls for years and years. plus he has other things going on like the MIT thing, other investments, etc. simplest answer is he doesnt have time

but ya, their production styles are pretty different

might be a conflict as well with label stuff since lu doesnt want to f*** with label issues anymore, which would make a collab album tough

have you listened to their podcast? theyre just making it up as they go along ha. creating an album (getting/paying producers, writing, recording, mixing, sample clearance, distribution,etc) takes A LOT more time, money, and effort
