Lupe's situation is weird as hell. He was on that K Dot / J Cole trajectory until that contract situation with Atlantic happened.

All the Lupe fans remember he was supposed to drop L.U.P.END the triple album that he was supposed to retire with, until that was scrapped for some reason and then he planned to make LASERS.

Shining Down & I'm Beamin dropped and then he started beefing with his label, LASERS got changed around and we got what we got. I feel like ever since then he's just been on f*** this trying to be a good artist s*** Imma just be the best lyricist.

But at this point he already got blackballed and people moved on to Kendrick and what not, which explains why he's a little salty about K Dot success.

So many people I know who used to keep up with Lupe in his prime dont even know T&Y happened smh

Dude I am not saying they don't respect his pen game. But they don't think he is in the same league as them. And he is not. Nas and Jay are both more relevant then him to this day and they came out way earlier than him. This is not hate, it is just fact. What he said was cap.

That still is evidence in support of what Lupe said, Nas was asked an open ended question on what rapper he sees himself in and he voluntarily said Lupe Fiasco as the first name.

Thats evidence in support of Lupe’s statement now post some evidence that supports that Nas and Jay Don’t think that

I’m not arguing that Lupe is or isn’t better than Jay or Nas

My point is Lupe said that Jay and Nas think he’s them, and then there’s quotes of them both saying things that support that statement especially Nas

There is no proof to say that Jay or Nas don’t think that, they didn’t tell you what they think so you have no proof to say that they don’t think that or even posted anything that supports that

What Lupe thinks on it is irrelevant to my point because Lupe didn’t say HE thinks that he said Jay and Nas think that. Did they tell you that they didn’t?
