Just got finished watching
This was dumb but I still had a fun time nevertheless

Also just watched and had the same thoughts lol
I had more fun when they were at the concert wish they could’ve stretched that out more and spent less time on the outside stuff. Did we really need to see him escape 3 times?
Gonna ignore the plot conveniences cause it’s M Night and it was still entertaining tbh
Although I was yelling at the screen whole time Lady Raven was in the bathroom and there was a window right behind her lol
Also just watched and had the same thoughts lol
Film did have some cool cinematography though
lol fun movie
but they reached so much for s*** they didn't have too🤣🤣
shawty not calling police earlier or dude just getting out the car and house
Movies can be fun when you don’t have some b**** in your ear talkin bout plot contrivances
Trap summer, baby
This s*** was crispy as f***
u a clown
Watching this rn
It f***ing sucks
It was so awful how do you fumble a decent premise like this
Josh was great and somewhat held it together for me, was super fun to see him evade the police. But the moment Shyamalan’s daughter became important was the moment it went downhill.
Too bad
Aight so this is pretty much the worst movie I've seen this year hands down
Laughably bad dialogue, terrible plot execution, awful last act, and a Cudi cameo that's just as hilarious as it is confusing
4/10
i thought the 2nd act was almost as good as the first tbh the role reversal made for interesting dynamics
i wouldve liked to see the phone stuff go somewhere more substantial though

Classic Shyamalan
10/10
Trap kicks off like a level in a Hitman videogame. Social engineering leverages disguise, violence entails savvy, and navigation requires stealth. The ticking clock and spectacle are built into the premise. Concert footage cuts against head on dialogue trees with NPCs. The mammoth stature of an arena is set against close quarters and close calls.
Shyamalan squanders this ripe scenario on a timeshare pitch. The closer his daughter gets to the camera, the more promises he asks of his audience. Promise to look past her poor acting. Promise that her piano lessons paid off. Promise that he will get to expand on the vagaries of this lore in subsequent films. This one doesn't even live up to its title.
COMPARABLE
Sudden Death (1995) <== Derogatory
