I love ricks piano but something about the layering on the “the best is yet to come” is bothering tf out if me it sounds like a layer is off or out of time or something has anyone else felt that

It’s definitely off but something is quite nice about it. Bothered me at first but now it feels bittersweet

i’m definitely getting used to it 😂

Outro instrumental for Excelsior is one of my fav moment on this album. It takes you to places for short time.

finally got around to listen to this and ngl i understand why this never saw a release when he was alive. i mean by modern standards its probably a good album but all in all this is not his best material by a long shot
