This. Took till the end of season 2 for me, 'The Jet Set'. Had been enjoying it to that point but wasn't necessarily hooked or anything. But boy from that episode on

I mean, the pilot alone is one of the best episodes from the first season littered with hilarious quotables or dialogue rich with meaning so if a watcher didn't appreciate that I don't see the rest of the show being mind changing

The pilot is lowkey one of my least favorite Episodes.

Opening scene and closing reveal are magic but there’s a lot in the middle where you can tell they didn’t have a lot tied down, it comes through pretty glaringly in the writing and characters.

I give it a pass cuz it is a pilot but I think the show finds its footing almost immediately after (unlike most other shows) and that only makes the pilot stick out more.

It’s a certain beauty to it,all it takes is a scene, an episode, a memorable quote, character, direction, etc it’s gonna be different for everyone, I like to think it’s designed in that slow burning fashion so there’s gonna be growing pains for some who are not used to that pace especially if ppl are just coming off the breaking bad high lol but eventually ur gonna settle right in for me i was sold in just following the life of dons journey and rise in the ad world and his life outside of it I liked how there didn’t seem to be an absolute plot but just kinda spontaneous and vibes, it’s moody and makes u feel so immersed in that world. The writing of the show is so elite that it makes watching newer shows kinda dull in comparison at least in my experience its like a double edged sword
