    Kendrick's carrying tbh.

Cole was cool but came & went.

Drake's s*** is insufferable aside from that one Conductor joint.

"Iceman's" the best outta' the 3 he dropped, but it's a snooze/whine fest

you would think the conductor song is the best joint

Do we even consider Clipse mainstream?

    Nowadays at least?

It's not big 3 level or even Travis / Tyler level but it was definitely a bit album and had that big budget mainstream sound quality to it. I think if you getting Grammy nominations you mainstream

    Well, if we're considering it.

They def have the best album of the 2020's thus far & should be an example how to rollout an album.

Should be the standard quality wise too.

Iceman the best rap album of the last few years

  • Someone on here told me that Drake's rapping on Iceman was bad and then linked me to some new earl sweatshirt raps that I actually press played on and that's when I realized that this site is so, so special.

You really be defending that "Habibti" & "Maid of Honor" s***?

Them joints make "Speeding Bullet 2 Heaven" look like the greatest album to ever be conceived.

Can't catch melodies anymore, his writing is on par with North Wests, the production sounds like some fruity loop rips, that one Sexxy red joint is God Awful, the Rasta accent his cringe af, tired of the same lackadaisical flow he always be using, & that one bar about They so pressed about the beef, it's panini...... Like dawg, how are y'all as fans defending this slop? It's ok to be critical, y'all yap about "He's the goat, look at his numbers!" but the music's beyond ass. Idk if y'all are even comprehending it anymore the the consumer themselves are dumb down.

    To each their own though

I mean I think Habibti is pretty bad, and I like Maid of Honour but I understand why someone would it. Iceman hate is just mad forced though. I can agree with some of the whining part or lackluster lines here and there but that's a musically good album and I just think you gotta be really leaning into the Drake hate not to think so ngl.

And don't say "yall" I'm not a stan, I don't think he's "The goat" or none of that.

Also that Speeding Bullet 2 Heaven s*** you said is just hate ngl

Iceman if definitely better than Rocky and Cole's s***, and I think it has better beats than GNX personally.

  • Mafia Boss

Replace "rap" with "Drake" and I'd agree.

But, in terms of rap albums in general, naaaah.

It's just a dope comeback album for Drake.

"Iceman" should've spoke for itself musically.

I don't want to hear about 2 year old beefs, I don't want to hear generic production that sounds like every other project of yours (aside from cats like Conductor),I don't want to hear the same flows, etc.

"Make them Pay" & "Firm Friends" are the only joints I like outta' all the s*** that was dropped.

If he were to do something like he did with the deluxe for "FATD" with production from Al, Conductor, etc. & actually tap in with his pen, it'd be his best project since "IYRT"

But I think he's in way over his head musically nowadays & will continue to do what he does cause it's formulaic & the consumer will continue to eat it up.

Pretty much, cause his sound got suuuuuuper stale for me over the years & idk how people don't really call him out for it. But I also should know "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

He ain't an innovator like a Kanye where he pushes the sound of the culture forward & be successful at it.

Just puts out safe middle ground pop music that's digestible for the masses.

Him connecting with the ladies as well sets him over the edge too which is why he's the stream king.
