bc I was at another event and the afterparty started w a surprise total freedom set... only made it to last hour of this in the end unfortunately, but omg my fkn goat. I've seen Torus like 5+ times by now and he only keeps blowing me away more as a DJ, especially when he gets the space to go experimental with it and kwia is the ideal one for that. he told me he'd send me a recording he made of the night, will share if he does.

he was completely de- and re-constructing all the layers from the mashups he made for his project Summer of Love, super layered and beautiful mix. had my mind drifting. I'm so obsessed with that project at this point, actually some of my fav music ever

kwia is a listening bar in Berlin, it's extremely Berlin uber hip artsy queer vibe, /but/ absolutely The goated space for ambient music imo. basically a living room where u just have a liedown on bean bags, with a bar with fancy drinks around the corner. they have crazy lineups all throughout the week, all the best experimental DJs play there. artist and writer Abadir wrote a good lil text on the place the other day for ma3azef (in Arabic, u need autotranslate), coupled with a review of their debut label comp.
