If we want to seriously contend for the CL or PL next season, Kane is prob our best bet

I like that Osi runs in behind tho. Kane drops deep and we have Bruno already doing that. 🤷‍♂️

They’re 2 very diff players. I prefer Osi style for what we need. Kane and Bruno just feel too similar to me.

The older Kane gets the further he’s playing away from goal. He’s not occupying CBs and more and more of his goals are coming from set pieces.

I don’t think stylistically he fits at all either - like Mamba says he’s occupying areas that we already have Fernandes for

With a wide playmaker on the right like Amad or Antony who isn’t really a blitzer we’re relying totally on Rashford/Garnacho to provide width and penetration in behind.

If it’s a decent price? Sure. But Levy will ask for 100m+ minimum and we have so many other gaps to plug

Not really sold on any specific striker tbh

Osimhen has amazing potential but has already shown himself to be fairly injury prone so I feel like that's a bad omen for us.

Kane is a few years older and not as powerful but he's managed to bag 24 prem goals in a pretty bad season for spurs. If we can get Kane and Ferguson as backup I'd take it.

    100m is too much tbh

does he do that because of the system @ spurs and they don’t really have any other creative players?

I think if he’s told to stay high you could see a better version of Kane, he’s a goal machine in the box and could link up well with rashford like he did with son

  • Apr 23, 2023

I think we need to bring in 2 strikers anyway, like city did with Alvarez

we say big summer, it really will be - if we get the Qataris and are ruthless with selling the players that don’t fit ten hags plans it could all be possible

Oh 100% Kane would do so much better in a side that actually plays football but he plays the same for England too now. It kind of reminds me Rooney in his later years when he decided he was a no.10/CM because he had a good long range pass

I think Kane would quite obviously do well here - guy wallops the ball at the net very hard and has done so for like 9 seasons running at Spurs - but I don’t think he’s the absolute 100% guarantee success like say RVP was when we took him from Arsenal

  • Apr 23, 2023

Caicedo passed the eye test today btw. Very press resistant and great in the first phase. Maybe a little bit so-so on the ball from a progressive perspective but his strengths would massively improve us

Not super convinced by Mac Allister at all. Think he’s another one of these no.10s masquerading as a CM when he plays deep

    Why not?

Kane is one of the worst big-game players.

Conte indirectly calls him out for leading a country club dressing room.

He gets fired and without him to paper over the cracks, Kane captains the team to a 6-1 defeat when they're chasing top 4?

  • Apr 24, 2023

all this treble talk, atleast it’s in our hands to stop

hopefully the players can show heart and passion in the biggest game this season

  • Apr 24, 2023

Maguire as far away as possible, pack the midfield, Rashford counter attack goal ez 1-0

Question - what's the basis of this logic, especially with Harry Kane, who's failed to win a trophy ever

Proven top tier prem striker who's bagged 20+ goals every season for almost a decade (since 14/15).

He doesn't win trophies though, you're right, that's been a problem with our squad for years up until now. But he's a consistent goal scorer that isn't injury prone, which is what we need.

I feel like we'll be paying out the ass for him though.
