Lazy takes. Maguire isn’t the sole reason we don’t play a high line. McTominay obviously doesn’t play his position well, but his production as a goal scorer has single-handedly won us at least 6 points in the league, potentially more… and he’s scored in other big games.

Better options exist but it isn’t worth playing a game of hypotheticals, especially with this club and their reputation in the market. I know where we are with them, and I know we’d be worse off without them.

gakpo worth the price tag imo and while he might not be in the best form as of late and was straight ass on sunday, he regularly contributes to the team at the very least, can’t say that about antony i’m afraid

Renewing Varane shouldn't be some slam dunk decision. He's almost 32 and prior to this season has missed a lot of games through injury. He's also on extremely high wages.

The question with him and Maguire is just one of can you get a good enough fee to then reinvest in a younger player with a higher ceiling.
