As much as I loved it, we don't need more Casemiro style reactionary signings. If we're buying someone like that, it needs to be before the season starts.

If they managed to sell Rashford I wouldn’t mind bringing in Joao Pedro as a replacement. Would’ve been a bargain getting him from Watford, but would be a good replacement who can either play off the wing or up top to rotate Holjund.

They won’t do that though, obviously.

Sell: Rashford, Casemiro, Varane, try and offload one of Malacia/Shaw and one of Dalot/AWB. Try and sell Lindelof and if he stays tell him he’s a b**** and make him play with the reserves. Same with Donny. Try and sell Antony.

Buy: Joao Pedro to replace Rashford, Todibo to replace Varane, a young CDM to replace Casemiro, and see if Amass is ready to be in the first team squad if we can’t get rid of one/two of our WBs.

If we do manage to offload Antony, I’d definitely buy Olise or alternatively have him replace Rashford, that seems to be the signing they want to make. But the jury is still out on whether he’ll live up to his potential or not. I feel like Joao Pedro has been a lot more impressive than Olise but Olise is more likely to move.

Problem moreso is there is so little proven young talent in that area, especially with the profile of an athletic yet ballplaying defender

Can’t say I’ve seen him too much but he gets compared to Varane a bit and I always use him as my Varane replacement on FM if I can. We need more pace and physicality in defence and I think he’d offer that.

I can’t think of too many young CBs that aren’t already snapped up, and being under Ineos will hopefully bring the fee down.

If we do get a new manager I hope he knows how to rotate his squad.

Yeah him being injury prone is worrying bc that’s been a massive issue for us this season. He’s so good though, even just what he offers from set pieces is an improvement.
