I was first to report this before romano and everyone
De Zerbi ball at United with our players could be an absolute disaster tbh
Potentially, but this is the same man who averages 70% possession with guys like Lewis Dunk. Donāt forget that a head coaches main job is also to actually train the players he has
I think his teams gets battered too often for me, but I do really like that he massively values control of the football. A big team must hold more of the ball than the team they are playing***. Itās a trait that no manager bar van Gaal (who was too far gone in it) has embodied at this football club post-SAF.
Would I be enthralled if we got RDZ? Probably not. But I wouldnāt be mad at the appointment
*** obvious exception being when youāre playing a team who are clearly better than you. But we should be comfortably outpossessing 80% of the league

Not with these players

there's many way to win I mean. look at Madrid adapting from how they play in Spain, versus Europe against city.
I dont buy into the whole control possession stuff personally.
in SAF days we didnt even track possession % like today. guessing we average like 50% whole 2000s.

This is patently untrue lmao
In big away games, sure. Against 85% of the football matches we played we absolutely did.

How Real Madrid play in one game a season against the best possession side in world football doesnāt detract how they play the entire rest of the season.

we were always around 50%. it was never a focus to control the game. at our core its always been counter attacking and smart overloads, not whatever LVG/ETH are trying to do. I get that times are different now, but just saying SAF wasn't about possession control focus at all.
Zidane one of a few managers that I couldnāt see any player downing tools for
he really is that guy

Donāt believe that Zidane story at all. I f he really wanted to go here idk what ETH is still doing here

I genuinely think he would be a terrible pick for you lot. He seems way too emotional for a big club
If they managed to sell Rashford I wouldnāt mind bringing in Joao Pedro as a replacement. Wouldāve been a bargain getting him from Watford, but would be a good replacement who can either play off the wing or up top to rotate Holjund.
They wonāt do that though, obviously.
wait wym from watford? he moved permanently to brighton iirc, donāt think that would be a bargain at all, thinking 80m+ if caicedo went for 120 lol
This man might be rtardud, āZidane couldnāt work with McTominay, Lindelof, Rashford and Fernandesā How about getting rid of these f***s then

We should have got him when he was at Watford, girl, read
They got him for like 30m iirc, heāll sell for more than double that.

oh my bad, i need to get some sleep

You gotta stay up and pray that Chelsea beat City with me
Iād still buy Joao Pedro though tbh, he gives me Martial vibes without the Martial mentality.

Heās totally like martial agreed. If he goes off in Copa America heās coming back as a 140mil euros valuation lol

Definitely as composed but not as injury prone, not as lazy, and better from the penalty spot. If we could get him for 60-70m Iād say itās a good deal.
