i’m a big fan of licha but he isn’t. the reason why is because of the direction premier league football has moved in. it’s moved back to physicality and strength. it’s better to have someone like branthwaite as lcb who’s a better box defender. licha still plays at lb and it eases up on shaw when your schedule is horrendous this szn due to 2 more games before european knockouts
We not bringing up his height again are we? Carragher stated that in his first season and then went on to be in the top percentile of headers won that season, and physically he’s absolutely fine?? Yes he needs to be partnered with a bigger cb I would agree, but to downplay how good Martinez is and that he should be pushed out to lb is ridiculous, I just can’t accept that broski
real madrid are getting him no one ignores that knock other than totti
Real refuse to pay more than 40M and Lille are getting better offers. If you’re lucky United may snatch him
Let’s be real getting in the new shiny toy is nice but we’re in a position where we need to get backups as well
Hopefully some quality squad players are being considered
Branthwaite seems decent but you just know fans are going to see he’s English, expensive, from a struggling side playing brexit-ball and will call him Maguire 2.0 before he plays a single match for us.
Personally I’d prefer a right footed natural RCB but Everton fans absolutely rave about him so maybe he’a truly him

They need to get some cheap talented youngins in. Best of both worlds tbh.

Yeah, because if one of these gets injured (inevitable) we're pretty much back to square one.
And if we're in a selling mood, the squad players who'll draw more money will go first rather than the lesser talented (Maguire will go for more than Lindelof) as a prime example
Probably watch this forever, so f***ing good
That whole attack sequence was executed to perfection
That whole attack sequence was executed to perfection
Remember just being in sheer disbelief that we'd just split City wide open and then buried it, whole sequence is so slick
Unreal

Fernandes pass inch perfect

That first cut and pass from Bruno to Mainoo is so underrated, high IQ ball
Fernandes pass inch perfect
I think one foreign coverage had it down as he'd misplaced it
Probably watch this forever, so f***ing good
Real football
That ping from Rashford, the assist from Bruno
Kobbie Mainoo
🚨 An interesting update here from Laurie Whitwell.
"Ten Hag’s disappointment with Sancho over his application came to a head during a training session before the Arsenal game in September.
"Sancho did not commit to pressing as an 'opposition' player in the practice match in the way Ten Hag wanted. Sancho was offered the chance to end his involvement in the practice match early, which he took by walking off the pitch."
Disgusting! This is the attitude some United fans are defending.

Just interesting to know how complicated it is behind the scenes. Like it’s easy for us to slander Ten Hag but there’s so much going on around him. Personally, as we’ve said several times before, having Ole ( or similar personality) around in some capacity to lift spirits would work wonders in terms of getting the players on side.
Also shows that Ten Hag shouldn’t be completely in charge of transfers though.
