There is no point building a system for players who do not have the quality or effort to adopt it. And the few that do will, 1) adapt to it easily enough when the time comes anyway, 2) adapt to it far better when they are in a team that has collectively bought into it.

Building a system has to be something long-term, not rushing it short-term and dwindling. Good luck bringing in quality players (good luck having even the money/ffp freedom to do so) when we finish the season in the bottom half of the table.
