2025 and people still think we can ship Casemiro, Bruno, etc. off to Saudi 😭🐶💔
They tried growing their league, it failed miserably. That experiment is over.

Our ineptitude in selling players will be the reason we’ll end up as a mid table team in the long term. With these FFP rules we’ll be unable to do more than a few signings a window this way.
Every team can make a bad signing, difference is we keep these terrible players for 8 years and let them go on frees instead of selling them after one bad season

Why did it fail? Idk anything about what’s going on

Fax. Even Chelsea’s non playing signings rn, I bet they’ll recoup a huge chunk of the fees paid. Like nkunku and Felix.

Nobody watched it. Nobody cared about it. It barely increased the popularity of the league within the country itself, but globally? Nothing, and that was their ultimate goal. A complete failure.

100%.
Perfect example is Zirkzee — We should be on the phone to Inter, Juventus, Milan, Napoli and any other Serie Ass side right now working out a loan with obligation to buy for £20-25m as we speak.
Instead we will let him “battle for his place here” and continue to nosedive his value the more he plays.

Casemiro to Saudi. Help is on the way
I forgot we have Europa league still! Win that for UCL spot.
No great teams to go against just bunch of average teams like us.
So Michael Oliver is the ref on Sunday
Wonder if we will see another “double dissent” red
Sunday XIs?
I'll start;
Onana
Maz Maguire Yoro/De Ligt
Antony Mainoo Ugarte Dalot
Amad Rasmus Bruno

That’s probably the best we can hope for, but I feel like it’ll be the same back 5 as Newcastle

Yeah, I'm still fully behind Ruben but he's got to start changing those selections
I think that'll go some way to ease the pains rather than abandoning his idea as a whole

Bro no selection will salvage this team... that's straight up wishful thinking

It’s not about salvaging the team, it’s about small improvements, which personnel changes would absolutely do

i thought you meant changing the starting 11 to better suit the system... i think that concept is idle hope if you consider the same squad selection

Move Amad to RWB, I’m trying to see something.
I thought him at AM would work but it seems like we were doing better with him out wide.
Haven't been watching these games lately (United got me in the 5 stages of grief)
how has Yoro been since he's been fit?
