    Who would you bring in?

let an interim see it through, and then bring ETH back in summer.

Have you watched Rashford play over the last two years?

Has he been any worse than Antony, Holjund, or Zirkzee?

  • Glitter Boy

Has he been any worse than Antony, Holjund, or Zirkzee?

Rashford strolled around on the pitch for years, lied about illness because he went out on the piss and god knows what else

He needed to go, other players are irrelevant

  • Glitter Boy

Has he been any worse than Antony, Holjund, or Zirkzee?

Yes when you consider he’s one of the best paid footballers in the world and we can’t afford to buy players without selling due to the financial constraints the Glazer family has put on the club for over a decade

Wonder what that will mean going forward

One thing I don't get about this "adapt to the players" thing is that Ten Hag did that, sacrificed his ideas, and we got 8th. The squad has gotten worse since then. If Amorim adapts, we lose the ability to implement the system long-term and probably finish 10th at best (probably in-line with what this squad is quality-wise in the prem). I don't see what the benefits are of adapting atp. Honestly don't care about the players mental states or whatever, its sink or swim, the quality ones will bounce back next season. Whether we finish 8th, 10th, 15th - all the same. That said, Amorim should just go all in on the youth. Case, Eriksen, maybe Hojlund etc. ain't doing s*** for us now or in the future

The core of this squad is so unbelievably dog s*** what formation would we even use to “adapt” to them?

They are fundamentally terrible footballers. 49 big chances and missed 43 of them. What formation helps that lol

8th with a trophy and European football is an infinitely better outcome than 16th, and no European football. It’s literally costing us tens of millions which will significantly hamper our ability to rebuild the squad in a way that will better suit Amorim. I’m not shouting at the sky, begging for him to be sacked, and I don’t put all the blame on him for where we are, but you can only go so far in praising a manager for sticking with his philosophy and refusing to adapt.

There’s a big difference between a manager needing their players to win titles, and a manager needing his players to just win games.

You’re putting a lot of faith in players who will “bounce back”… where does that come from? This isn’t December anymore, we can’t blame a lack of training. He’s had 3 months and very few, if any players have shown any aptitude for the system. We won’t be able to overhaul the squad in one Summer. We say this every year, but finally we’ve reached a point where our financial situation is dire, and it will be made worse with no Europe. Who and what we can bring in will largely depend on who we can ship out.

When he was first hired, I loved how headstrong he was, I loved that he wouldn’t adapt, but reality has set in, and it’s far worse than I ever imagined it could be. There are managers in this league doing more with far less, Ruud did more with this squad (albeit a small sample size but still.) I do agree that adapting does nothing to help us in the long term, but therein lies the biggest problem. More and more it’s looking like wrong guy, wrong time.

The worst thing Amorim has done is let people start lying about Ten Hag. This was his 3rd season in and he's doing s*** like that.

Amorim isn't doing well enough at the moment, that's obvious, but the reactionary bullshit about ETH is pathetic

He's been dealt the worst hand of any manager since SAF, they owe him time - especially as they said 'now or never' in regards to joining in the summer

    Now do PL only

    4 wins, 2 draws, 8 losses = 28% win rate

I know you’re never going to give Ten Hag any credit, but I don’t personally believe that tweet can be looked at in black and white (fuck Adam Joseph btw)

Amorim’s record is massively helped by the Europa League. We drew all 3 Europa games Ten Hag was in charge of, but those 3 games were also our toughest in the competition, Amorim benefited from facing the weaker opposition in the group.

Amorim’s record in the PL is abysmal.

For me it’s like this: I just fail to see how if we finish 16th; fail to win Europa; fail to win the FA cup; there is any chance of succession here long term for this manager.

Our budget is already slashed - and will be hampered more by lack of European football. Amorim has already proven he cannot improve the players he already has at his disposal. We will most likely sign — at MAX — around 3-4 first team players.

What are we expecting here? Is he going to go from 16th one season to back to competing the next?

The only piece of momentum that can salvage something is a fugazi cup win. Otherwise I really don’t understand what we’re doing here.

And don’t get me wrong I do like Amorim and think he seems like a nice chap with a good philosophy about the game, but it’s a results business, dawg. Can’t have Man Utd hold 17+ losses in one season and call it a day and say we go again.

ETH deserves no credit. He had a 600m+ team and regardless of “tough” EL competition he wasn’t good enough for the time and money he was given, neither of which fans are offering to Amorim

we say its on the players every time, we invest in some new players who at the time we are hyped for then they s*** the bed for us go elsewhere and shine apart from sancho he's just dog water

we bring these managers in because of their 'philosophy' 'style of play' and NEVER see it the only manager who had us playing in a system other than counter attacking was LVG but that was zzzzz

and now Ineos looking like glazers 2.0 cutting costs hiring and sacking directors making stupid decisions

s*** looks so bleak i cba anymore
