If we had a Luis Enrique style manager who valued possession, ball retention, and short passing game in the middle of the pitch Mainoo would excel as his key qualities are phenomenal there.

In this current managers system, much like our other youth academy player who seems up for grabs, the manager’s system doesn’t have a true place for him and exacerbates his blemishes rather than shows his pluses.
