idk whos even in contention. Vini/Jude/mbappe I think are cancelling each other out and not having a 'special' season. Bayern I also dunno....kane is their best shout probably. so no to that. Italy? nobody standing out either. PSG dembele I guess? so no.

Seems to be the way we’re going despite the fact that we’re apparently “not going for anyone over the age of 25” even though he’s well over 25 and the oldest out of him, Gyokeres and Osimhen.

are you arguing for arguing sake or do you actually want us to only sign 25 and under year old strikers, cause our track record of doing that is terrible and I would rather see us change and score goals than have some moral victory about it all

Gyokeres and Osimhen are over 25 as well.
My point was, there was a briefing not too long ago that said Gyok and Osi were unlikely due to their age, but now we’re targeting the oldest and cheapest of the 3.

He has 44 G/A in the PL this season. That’s the highest ever and there’s still 10 more games to go lmao
The only way it isn’t gift wrapped for Salah is if PSG manage to knock them out in the return leg and someone else who’s having a good season leads their side to a CL win

Mateta is OK, leads the no.9 position in a way that’s superior to our options. Though I can’t imagine Palace letting him go for cheap and then at that point the juice probably isn’t worth the squeeze.
Of those three players mentioned I’d think my preference would be Osimhen. Most proven of the names linked and he’s the type of striker that has it when it comes to go goalscoring.

I think Osimhen would probably end up somewhat close to Mateta price wise and be much better for it as well
