I love this thread sometimes and the fact that we have this exact argument every like 2 months too

we keep having the same discussion because ole is what he is. he was what he was as a manager before united as well. yet people think there is no point in getting a better manager

The context in which Ole was brought in is key. We had a toxic dressing room and a divided squad who were fragments from past managers.

Yes he's spent money but he's also shipped a lot of deadweight, especially ones on high wages. This is a process that's still going on ie: Jesse, Phil Jones, Dalot, even Juan Mata to some degree (bit harsh on Juan but his wages are outrageous)

We had no leaders, Antonio Valencia of all people was captain... Slowly Ole brought in players who are leaders in one by one and we are seeing a much more unified squad. More so than under Moyes, LVG, and Jose imo.

Bruno Fernandes is undoubtedly the best post-SAF signing and Ole rarely gets credit for being the one to bring him in. He identified him 6 months prior but Glazers/Woodward yet again dragged their feet on backing him and waiting until our squad was depleted due to injuries.

Bruno is not only an excellent creative force which the midfield has clearly been lacking but a strong character. Having him be the focal point in a squad as young as the current one is excellent management imo.

To be clear, I dont agree with everything Ole does, but I can not get behind sacrificing all the progress we've had since Jose just to bring in another big manager who will underperform. We have a young team, plenty of homegrown talent, and a manager who knows what it means to play for the shirt. I'm here for it.

That's nice, but you have to look at the on field performances. He's two years in and the play is still usually disjointed. The majority of the squad's general play is poor and United are never controlling games.
It's great that United have a young squad, but it doesn't seem like Ole's capable of getting the best out of them consistently. I think even Rashford and Bruno could take their games to the next level with a manager with a plan. You gotta remember the way Chelsea fans were talking about the work Lampard did, but they instantly became more dangerous when they replaced him

Rashford has had the prolific spell of his career under Ole

Frank isn't really comparable. He managed to get Derby to 6th and was given the Chelsea job. You also can't really compare the Chelsea and United jobs in general. Both clubs operate very differently. No manager would be given the resources at United that Chelsea managers get.

It's clear we will never bridge the 'spending gap' to City. The only way we can compete with them is by closing the 'manager gap'. Can't be behind by this much in both areas.

Klopp is a great coach that's why Liverpool could compete despite not spending as much. Ole is lightyears away from either. Respect for him reducing the 'toxicity' from Jose era and getting rid of deadwood but to improve we have to move on.

I see what your saying and entitled to your opinion but let’s stop with the Klopp revisionism about not being able to spend much when he broufht in players like Van dijk, Fabinho, salah and mane. Don’t get me started on city when they embody everything wrong with football, today

Promise you if you give Ole and Klopp the same amount of money the latter delivers much better results.

Not at all Klopp like his teams to play a certain attacking way of football and you’ve seen at Liverpool this season he’s willing to die on that hill. Keeping that in mind you can’t say thatwouldnt cost him if he had lesser players to work with and ole had the same doing a more balanced approach

klopp is self destructing like he did at dortmund and like Jose did at Chelsea both times. klopp good manager but I dont see him being able to hold a job consistently for longer than 5 years

    anyway Ole is going nowhere.

like it or not we'll finish top 4 this season and probably make Europa League final if we beat Milan.

if next season we're not improved tho he wont last till the end. need real title challenge and good CL performance.

Our best best bet is for the glazers to finally sell this f***ing club because that’s what theyve been setting up to do anyway judging by how they run the club. No regard for it or it’s fans whatsoever

for real. he wont even be that expensive if the release clause being only 75euro is true that allows him to leave in 2022. hes probably worth like 150mil at this point

Exactly, at the moment he's a steal plus other top clubs aren't in the market for a striker.

Real has to pay for their 650mil renovation of the Bernabeu. Don't know who else will try to pick him up? Bayern?

eating up ole propganada and blaming mourinho for board mistakes. this fanbase is f***ing brain dead

mourinho had a bigger mess to clean up from van gaal than ole did. mourinho was under pressure to win, play good football, play young players and people are blaming him. fan base deserves nothing

its not the manager that handles negotiations and contracts is it? also the f***ing leach glazers plunged this club into massive debt to acquire it and woodward helped them do it. dont let this propaganda s*** blind you from that
