I wonder which regular United starter would get into any top 4 team
Fernandes is a lock. Would that be it?
As a starter only Bruno and I don’t think I’d play him if I was arsenal. Or I’d have to probably get rid of Odegard. But I think he’d play for everyone else.
I think Maguire is underrated and would play or rotate heavily for the top 4 too. But that’s it.
I can't get excited about signings or new managers anymore, like after a while into the season I think "you know what, I like Zirkzee" but that's the extent of it.
Only thing that gives me dopamine is fluking trophies, I'm really desperate for that Europa

It's a gigantic if but if we did clutch the EL it'd be so big, the budget for the summer would be massive

Pretty on the fence about him. Decent player, price is just PL tax, nothing to do about that.
Worry about him is he’s a positionally ambiguous forward who won’t have a specific position once Amorim is gone
Cunha would be a good signing tbh
But a lot of players we have even signed recently sound good on paper, the moment they arrive at our stadium, its...

When do you reckon we'll finally be free of the wingback tyrant?

It’s so tough to say cause they won’t wanna do a ten hag again and back him in the summer only to sack him in October.
I think if it’s not this season meaning he lost EL, then he may be here through to like march next year.
When do you reckon we'll finally be free of the wingback tyrant?
Christmas back in Lisboa if he’s still losing more matches than winning, after giving him all the “inside no.10s” and wingbacks his middle parting heart desires.

Reckon it'll be ten hag style where he doesn't even go to Xmas

Extremely in
If we sign the following players we may have a chance of life:
Cunha
Osimhen
Dumfries
New CB
New GK
If Cunha is coming in then Bruno is definitely playing deeper going frwd since we’d have a lot of AM’s and zero creativity in the ugarte casemiro death pit.
New GK
Yoro - New CB - Licha
New RB - Bruno - Ugarte - Dorgu
Amad - Cunha
Osimhen
Backup GK
Maz - Maguire - Shaw
Dalot - Casemiro - Mainoo - ?
Mount - Garnacho
Zirkzee
Sell:
Rashford 45M
Hojlund 25M
De Ligt 35M
Onana 25M
Antony 20M
Lindelof 0M (expires)
Eriksen 0M (expires)
That’s approx 150M of outgoings if those 4 are shipped out.
Cunha and Osi should add up to that.
And then hopefully the CL budget lets us get a competent GK, CB and RWB in too.

De ligt gotta stay and heaven >> shaw. Feel like amad will be the long term RB too. Our defense hasn’t been terrible this year and a new gk will help a lot - rather we invest in a new CM and another 10 on top of cunha and we may cook

Replace New CB for new CM, and new RB for another attacker/10 (who can also operate wide)
Sell (immediate):
Rashford
Antony
Sancho
Hojlund
Lindelof, Eriksen, Lindelof (free)
Sell (short term - next 12-18 months):
Mount
Onana
Ugarte
Collyer + associated youth who aren’t good enough
On trial (can leave at any point in the above two if the offer is good enough):
Dorgu
Zirkzee
Garnacho
If we’re being realistic and saying he’ll get about four first team XI signings, plus probably one or two high rated 16-18 year olds, I would prioritise like this. If we can sell to buy, my next priority position would probably be replacing the GK.
Onana
Mazraoui — De Lit — Yoro
Amad — Bruno — New CM — Not Dorgu
New 10 — New 10
New ST
Rotational options:
GK: whoever
CBs: Maguire, Heaven, Martinez, Shaw
RB: Dalot
CM: Mainoo, Casemiro, Ugarte
Youth (Kone?)
LB: Amass, Leon
10s: Amad, Garnacho, Fernandes, Mount (lol)
ST: Zirkzee, Obi
Guys like Yoro (RCB, LCB); Amad (RB, no.10); Fernandes (CM; no.10); Dalot (RB, LB) will oscillate a lot between positions throughout the season.

De ligt really that bad to ship him off right away?
Also don't see Martinez being reliably fit on a long term basis unfortunately
De ligt has been solid this season
I’m selling Martinez over de ligt, that boy is finished
I still think we drastically improve with just a proper striker
Putting in prolific 10s and wing backs who understand the aim would go crazy
We're looking like we should win games with total bums doing these things.. it's why I'm not moved yet about the manager
I’m telling you now, we aren’t beating Bilbao
Losing to Bilbao would be absolutely horrible in the context of the season, but in a vacuum it might not crack United's top 5 worst results to a Spanish team in Europe the last 10 years
Losing to Spurs/a team from a place with about as many people as the KTT United thread would be historically bad
