I expect Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea will all be signing a striker this summer. And beyond, PSG could probably use one and who knows how long Lewandowski keeps it up at Barca.
I do not see us managing to get Gyokores or Osimhen ahead of any of these clubs. After those two, who is there that is available and 'proven'. I'm struggling to think of anyone.
Yeah, it's going to be really tough - and this is where I think we are in real danger of the gap widening even further
My hope is that Newcastle need to shift Isak and that satisfies at least one club, but that's just wishful thinking - even then there are still multiple clubs like you said that needed a striker

Jonathan David is a fantastic shout imo - I'm sure he'd be free as well, I can't see why we wouldn't do that

Been saying they should get David on a free for months, but I don’t think there’s been even a whisper of interest from us, which is typical.

I'd be stunned if the 22 year old who's only just got 12 goals can come to United next season, where the pressure will be unbelievably high (even moreso than normal) and succeed.
Its a gigantic gamble and the days of gambling on players are done - we blew 600+ on a dutch gamble that leaves us needing to buy proven or slip even further
I agree with you in terms of what we should do, i'm just saying why I think he is (unfortunately) the #1 target for now

Some of the goals he has scored are ridiculous. Actually quite good in the air too
But at the same time he’s another risky 21 year old with only 12 league goals this season…
